AXEON Water Technologies Discusses the Importance of the RO Membrane
In the process of reverse osmosis water filtration, having a quality RO membrane is essential. The RO membrane is the part of a reverse osmosis system crucial to successful water purification, since it is responsible for filtering pollutants such as industrial waste, debris, agricultural chemicals, dissolved mineral salts, protozoan bacteria, and parasites, among others. The membrane of a reverse osmosis system traps all the particles and compounds forced inside the machine. The component is cylindrical in shape to make it easier to check for structural faults and damage. It usually ranges from 1.8 to 4.0 inches in diameter and length, with pores measuring between 0.0005 and 0.005 microns in diameter (which is the ideal size for trapping common particles in water).
